Rethinking the 'My Page' screen to access information easier and faster.

Overview

The introduction of the dropdown menu and the reorganisation of “My Page” aims to minimise the effort required to access basic information while simultaneously providing a streamlined flow to manage and maintain user's account. This is Phase One of the “My Page” redesign with Phase Two focusing on optimising the dropdown menu item's content.

Problems

The current account management flow creates a tedious navigation experience by redirecting users to a separate screen when they click the avatar icon. This design forces users to scroll through a lengthy, repetitive page of menu options, making it challenging to quickly locate and access specific settings or information. The lack of an efficient, streamlined navigation method significantly impairs user experience and increases interaction complexity. Below are 3 key pain points.

  1. Repetitive

Duplicated content increases the length of the page, creating clutter as well as navigational inefficiencies.

  1. Illogical

Navigational method is tedious and not user friendly. It creates confusion when browsing through the page.

  1. Complexity

With sections primarily represented by titles, users must navigate through multiple layers to reach their desired content. For example, account settings are situated at the bottom of the page, creating a cumbersome experience that demands excessive scrolling to locate essential functions.

Opportunity

How might we make it concise, intuitive and simple?

Goal

To convert the key problems into opportunities to solve during the redesign.

Repetitive

Concise

Removing duplicated content ensuring clear and precise information.

Illogical

Intuitive

Accessing specific content or information should be logical and intuitive. Results should align with the user's expectations.

Complexity

Simple

Getting to the desired end point should be simple and straightforward.

Design Iterations

Multiple design options were explored, and removed any underperforming sections while ensuring the interface remained familiar to users who might be accustomed to other online travel agency platforms.

VIP Program

Phase One

Phase One aims to implement a dropdown menu that simplifies navigation and enhances user interaction efficiency.

Phase Two

Phase Two will focus on redesigning the VIP program's screen and other dropdown menu screens. A critical objective is to enhance user awareness and engagement with the VIP program, as current challenges involve many users remaining unaware of this feature during their initial sign-up experience.
